ANCC National Magnet Conference 2013 - Orlando, FL

International Attendee Information

Welcome to the ANCC National Magnet Conference® in Orlando, Florida from 2-4 October 2013.

Several events have been planned exclusively for our international colleagues. These special events are described below. The costs - in addition to the conference registration fees  - are noted.  When registering, please indicate your selection of any of these events.

Please be sure to look for the reserved seating section for our international colleagues at the Magnet® Celebration on Wednesday, 2 October at 5:00 PM.

  1. International Conference Forum and Orientation Session. Exclusive for international attendees. Tuesday, 1 October, 4:00-7:00 PM. $99 USD.

This educational session will provide a detailed orientation to the National Magnet Conference, with a special focus on activities and sessions that are most relevant for international attendees.

  • Make the most of your conference experience. We will guide you through the Magnet conference program and explain how the conference works. There will be questions-and-answers time with the Magnet Team.

  • Meet Magnet leaders. Hear about best practices and ask specific questions about Magnet and the various program processes. Information will be presented on the latest updates to the Magnet Sources of Evidence (SOEs) and on steps in the application process relevant to international applicants.

  • The program will be led by Magnet Recognition Program Director, Linda Lewis, ANCC International Consultant Dr. Stephanie Ferguson, and ANCC Executive Director Dr. Karen Drenkard.

  • Light refreshments will be served during the reception following the session.

2. Tour a Magnet hospital after the conference. Saturday, 5 October. $195 USD.

The tour includes:

  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Transportation to and from the tour location

Tours of the Magnet facilities may involve stairs and extended walking. Details will follow via e-mail after registration.
