Welcome to the ANCC National Magnet Conference® in Baltimore, Maryland from October 4-6, 2011

Please be sure to look for the RESERVED SEATING section for our international colleagues at the Magnet® Celebration on Tuesday, October 4 at 5:15 PM.

There are several events that are planned exclusively for our international colleagues. These special events are described below. Any associated costs, in addition to the conference registration fees, are indicated.  When registering, please indicate your selection of any of these events.

  1. International Concurrent Session: Session number C515,Tuesday, October 4, from 11:30 AM -12:30 P.M. (no additional fee)
    • See a panel presentation from the Commission on Magnet International members, Executive Director, ANCC and the Director of the Magnet Recognition Program.
    • Opportunity to ask specific questions to the Magnet staff about the Magnet Recognition Program®, and the Magnet Application process.
    • This session does provide continuing nursing education contact hours.
  2. International Luncheon:  Wednesday, October 5 from 11:30- 1:00 p.m. at the Hilton Baltimore, 401 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland, (no additional fee.) This is a great opportunity to network with your international colleagues.
  3. Tour a Magnet® facility following the conference on Friday, October 7, 2011. There will be a nominal additional fee for this activity (fee is nonrefundable.) Sign up as part of registration, but hurry as the spaces fill up fast!  Transportation to and from the tour location, and lunch provided. Tours of the Magnet facilities may involve stairs and extended walking. Tour details will follow via e-mail after registration.
