Desert Botanical Garden and Heard Museum Tour

Our first stop is the Heard Museum, the Native American Cultural Center of the Southwest. You will receive a guided tour by a knowledgeable docent and have time to browse in the Gift Shop, the best spot in town to purchase authentic Native American crafts! The next stop on this Sojourn to the Southwest is the Desert Botanical Garden. You'll stroll along the winding paths as your guide tells tales of the Saguaro cactus, "jumping" cholla, etc.

Flatwater Rafting

Experience the desert from a different perspective as you take a relaxing and beautiful float trip on one of our spectacular rivers. The Lower Salt and Verde Rivers are a favorite foraging area for bald eagles, wild horses, coyote, mule deer, desert bighorn sheep and a wide variety of migratory bird species.

Horseback Riding

You will be paired with a horse ideally suited for your riding experience and hit the open trail to see the real West. Our western wranglers will take you past towering Saguaro cacti and the unique scenery of the Sonoran Desert. Anticipate the breathtaking desert landscape that lies over the next hill and you will experience the Southwest as the pioneers did before you!

The Valley of the Sun affords the rare opportunity to ride the thermals high above the desert floor. You'll gradually ascend into the sky behind a tow plane. Then comes the exhilarating moment when you are released from the tow and experience an engineless glider flight. You can even fly the plane! Your pilot will familiarize you with your surroundings and educate you on the basic flying techniques.

The ultimate way to "sink your teeth" into the Sonoran desert! Your Cowboy or Native American Guide will entertain you as you learn the more modern “Wild West” history of the Arizona Territory, complete with stories of the outlaws, gunfighters, lawmen and range wars of this last-to-be-tamed territory. Once deep into the desert an experienced Naturalist will lead you on an extensive nature walk through the desert where you will learn about plants and cacti which are unique to this desert.

Grand Canyon Deluxe Tour

This ground and air tour features a spectacular aerial tour of the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon plus a guided tour of the South Rim.

The scenic flight to the canyon begins with deluxe transportation to Deer Valley Airport. Watch as the grandeur unfolds below when you fly over the mouth of the Grand Canyon. You will land at the Grand Canyon airport and board private transportation, which will take you to the Grand Canyon Village, located on the South Rim. Your veteran guide will acquaint you with the history and primary points of interest like Mather and Yavapai Points. Once in the Village, you will be treated to a buffet lunch and have some free time to explore on your own. Next stop, the airport, and you will depart in awe of one of the world’s most unique and beautiful creations.

This full day tour takes you through some incredible terrain as you ascend into the high country of central Arizona. The first glimpse of "Red Rock Country" is spectacular and only gets better as you drive through this magnificent countryside. Your guide will identify the many famous "landmark" rock formations as you travel to Oak Creek Canyon and cruise alongside Oak Creek itself with towering cliffs and red rock rising skyward. Guests will enjoy a fabulous buffet lunch creek side underneath giant cotton wood trees. Plenty of time is available for shopping at Tlaquepaque, a Spanish style Arts & Crafts market place.

Visit one of the world’s most unique and beautiful creations with this deluxe tour. On your way to the Grand Canyon you will travel through Sedona and get a glimpse of the spectacular red rocks. After a brief city tour, you will enjoy a fabulous buffet lunch creek side underneath giant cotton wood trees.

After you have fueled up with a hearty lunch you will continue on through Oak Creek Canyon on the way to Grand Canyon National Park. Once you arrive at the Grand Canyon you will have some free time on your own to explore the Grand Canyon’s Southern Rim. As the sun sets on the Grand Canyon you will be transferred to your hotel to check in for the night, and also enjoy a nice dinner.

The second day at the Grand Canyon will begin with breakfast at your hotel. Next is a guided tour of the South Rim on board your transportation. After the guided tour, you will be treated to lunch. Following lunch you will begin your return transfer to Phoenix, and you will depart in awe of one of the world's most unique and beautiful creations.
